Firm Overview

Our approach balances design ambition with technical rigor. We collaborate closely with our clients to address not only form and aesthetics, but also performance—considering energy use, durability, and how a building will age over time and contribute to its surroundings.

Micacchi Architecture is a Toronto-based practice, established in 2017, working across residential, multi-unit, and select commercial projects.

The practice is led by Robert Micacchi, who studied architecture at the University of Waterloo and began his career in London, Vancouver, and Toronto before founding the studio. He was awarded the Rome Prize upon graduation.

Our work aims to contribute to the development of contemporary Canadian architecture, drawing from both traditional building forms and modern construction methods. We are interested in buildings that are well-proportioned, carefully detailed, and grounded in their context.

We use building information modelling (BIM) and visualization tools to support an iterative and coordinated design process. Where appropriate, we incorporate high-performance building strategies, including Passive House principles, to improve long-term comfort and energy efficiency.
